Professional
I became a mediator because I enjoy helping people come together to resolve their disagreements and I recognize mediation is a powerful way to achieve that goal.
I have been an attorney in private practice with decades of experience, during which time I have served as counsel at the trial and appellate levels for both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts across the United States, and before arbitrators. My practice has spanned a diverse array of areas, including (but by no means limited to) disputes involving healthcare, insurance, commercial property, securities, broker dealers, employment, discrimination, shareholder’s rights, legal and medical malpractice, ERISA, corporate governance, contracts, torts, financial fraud, bribery, wrongful death, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Foreign Agents Registration Act, the False Claims Act and the U.S. import and export laws. I also have represented businesses and individuals in civil, criminal, and administrative matters, including in proceedings before the U.S. Department of Justice, SEC, CFTC, FINRA and other state and federal regulatory agencies.
In my career as a legal practitioner, I have resolved a multitude of cases through mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. Having stood in the shoes of both plaintiffs and defendants, I have the keen ability to see and appreciate all sides of a dispute. More importantly, I understand the importance of using that perspective to open lines of communication between adversaries that lead to problem-solving approaches. In the end, that can make all the difference.
From my years of experience in litigating and resolving cases, I also know the importance of having a mediator who is honest and forthright, instills trust and confidence, and keeps the promise of maintaining neutrality and patience. I strive to achieve those objectives in helping others find common ground on which to work together in realizing their goals. I am committed to leaving no stone unturned, and to working as long and hard as necessary to accomplish the parties’ goal of resolving their dispute.
